The SOFAR 5 kW + 5 kWh battery + 5.7 kWp photovoltaic panels set is a complete solution for households that want to reduce their dependence on the electricity distribution grid and use a larger portion of the produced solar energy for their own consumption.

The system combines a single-phase hybrid inverter SOFAR HYD 5000-EP , a low-voltage battery Amasstore GTX5000S 5 kWh , 12 DAH Solar photovoltaic panels of 475 W each, solar cables and a structure for installation on a tiled roof. The total nominal power of the photovoltaic array is 5.7 kWp .

Intelligent management of produced energy

The SOFAR HYD 5000-EP hybrid inverter simultaneously manages production from solar panels, home consumption, battery charging, and connection to the electrical grid.

During normal operation, the system can first use the energy produced by the panels for current consumers, and store excess electricity in the battery. When the production from the panels is not enough, the stored energy can be used to cover consumption. The SOFAR product page lists the possibility of automatic mode and TOU (Time of Use) charge and discharge management.

The inverter features two independent MPPT trackers , which allows for more flexible configuration of the solar panels, for example with different orientation of two groups of modules. The product page also lists a wide input voltage range, a precise MPPT algorithm, and a maximum efficiency when charging and discharging the battery up to 94.6% .

Backup power in case of power outage

SOFAR HYD 5000-EP supports EPS emergency power mode . In the event of a power outage, the inverter can use the available PV power and the energy in the battery to power predetermined critical consumers.

In EPS operation, the product information indicates the possibility of a short-term AC overload of up to 10% for 60 seconds, which is useful when starting consumers with higher starting current, such as refrigerators, air conditioners or pumps.

Amasstore GTX5000S – 5 kWh energy storage

The included Amasstore GTX5000S is a low-voltage battery designed specifically for residential energy storage systems. It uses LiFePO4 cells , offers IP65 protection, and can be mounted on either a wall or floor.

The battery allows for parallel connection of up to 4 modules , so the system can be expanded in the future as demand increases. Remote monitoring and software updates are also supported. The GTX5000S is designed to work with SOFAR HYD 3000–6000-EP inverters, making it a logical combination with the included 5 kW inverter.

12 DAH Solar panels – total 5.7 kWp

The system includes 12 DAH Solar photovoltaic panels of 475 W each , or a total of 5.7 kWp of installed PV power . Thus, the panel power is slightly higher than the nominal AC power of the inverter, which allows for more complete use of the inverter during different times of the day and under non-ideal lighting conditions.

Prepared roof installation kit

The package also includes 30 m of red and 30 m of black KBE Solar DB 6 mm² solar cable , as well as a mounting structure for a tiled roof . This makes it easy to build a complete photovoltaic system with pre-selected basic components.
