SOFAR 20 kW is a powerful three-phase hybrid system designed for larger residential buildings, commercial properties, workshops, offices and small businesses with high and distributed electricity consumption across the three phases.
The kit includes SOFAR HYD 20KTL-3PH dual-MPPT 20 kW , a BTS E5-DS5 series battery system, 42 DAH Solar panels of 475 W each, a total of 400 m of solar cable and a structure for a tiled roof.
Intelligent operation in case of uneven phase load
SOFAR HYD 20KTL-3PH manages the produced solar energy, the battery and three-phase consumers for the purpose of maximum self-consumption. According to the product information, the inverter can optimize the operation even with different loads on the individual phases .
Automatic mode, TOU control , battery charging and discharging, and EPS emergency power supply are supported. In the event of a grid failure, the system can use both the instantaneous production from the panels and the energy stored in the battery to power critical loads.
The inverter also has a zero export function , which allows limiting the supply of generated energy back to the grid. The product page lists the included transformers and an energy meter for real-time consumption monitoring.
Modular SOFARSOLAR BTS battery
BTS E5-DS5 uses LiFePO4 technology and includes a battery module and a distribution block. The system has a modular design and can be expanded by adding battery modules.
SOFARSOLAR indicates the possibility of configurations between 5.12 and 20.48 kWh in a single system , and up to two systems can be connected in parallel. The BTS series is designed for compatibility with the HYD 5K–20KTL hybrid inverters.

Almost 20 kWp photovoltaic array
42 panels × 475 W give a total nominal power of 19.95 kWp , which is perfectly combined with a 20 kW three-phase inverter. Thus, the set is oriented towards significant self-production during the day and can cover serious three-phase loads.
Included are 200 m of red and black KBE Solar DB 6 mm² cable , as well as a mounting structure for a tiled roof.
