Professional DC charging stations MODEVA

MODEVA DC charging stations are designed to build a reliable infrastructure for fast charging of electric vehicles. The product range includes models with nominal power of 60, 120, 160, 180, 240 and 360 kW , which allows choosing a suitable solution for sites with different loads and available electrical power.

Unlike standard AC chargers, a DC charging station supplies direct current directly to the vehicle's traction battery. This provides significantly higher charging power and reduces the required downtime. IEC 61851-23 defines the technical requirements for DC charging equipment for electric vehicles.

The actual power during charging depends not only on the nominal capabilities of the station, but also on the electric vehicle, the current battery level and temperature, the allowable charging power, the available capacity of the electrical installation, and the method of load management.

What charging station power should you choose?

The choice of power should be based on the expected number of charging sessions, the average length of stay, and the technical capabilities of the site.

60 kW DC charging stations are suitable for hotels, office buildings, car dealerships, restaurants, retail outlets and company parking lots. They are a practical solution for locations with moderate traffic flow that require faster charging compared to AC equipment.

The 120 kW models are suitable for public parking lots, business parks, gas stations, roadside sites and corporate fleets with a higher number of daily charging sessions.

The 160 and 180 kW stations are designed for more intensive use in busy commercial locations, public charging areas, taxi fleets and transport bases.

The 240 and 360 kW models are suitable for charging centers, large fleets, logistics operators and roadside infrastructure where short downtime is a top priority.

According to the terminology of Regulation (EU) 2023/1804, DC charging points with a power of 50 to less than 150 kW are defined as fast. Powers from 150 to less than 350 kW fall into the first level of ultra-fast DC charging, and solutions from 350 kW and above fall into the second level. Therefore, the MODEVA range includes both fast and ultra-fast charging stations.

Three execution options

MODEVA DC charging stations are available in three main designs.

MODEVA Smart with a 7-inch display is a practical configuration with a clear user interface and support for five languages. It is suitable for corporate, commercial and public facilities that are looking for a functional solution for professional DC charging.

MODEVA Smart with a 15-inch display offers a larger screen and the ability to integrate a POS terminal. This version is suitable for publicly accessible charging zones, where convenient visualization of information and payment options are an important part of the service.

MODEVA Smart New Design features a 7-inch display, POS terminal support and a charging cable retractor system. The cable retractor helps keep the charging area tidy and facilitates daily use of the equipment.

According to the product information provided, all capacities are available in all three main versions. Common features include two CCS connectors, 5 m cables, IP54 protection, three-phase input power, 4G/Ethernet and OCPP 1.6J.

Two CCS connectors

The stations are equipped with two CCS charging connectors , which allow for more flexible parking space layout and more efficient organization of the charging area.
